Phenolic insulation board is made of phenolic foam, which is mainly composed of phenol and formaldehyde. Phenolic foam is a new type of fire-resistant, fireproof and low smoke insulation material (under limited conditions). It is a closed cell rigid foam plastic made of phenolic resin added with foaming agent, curing agent and other additives. Its most prominent features are non combustible, low smoke, and resistance to high-temperature decomposition. It overcomes the shortcomings of the original foamed plastic insulation material, such as flammability, smoke and deformation in case of heat, and retains the characteristics of the original foamed plastic insulation material, such as light weight and convenient construction.
Phenolic foam insulation board has good thermal insulation performance, and its thermal conductivity coefficient is about 0.022W/(m · k), which is far lower than the commonly used inorganic and organic exterior wall insulation products in the market, and can achieve higher energy saving effect.
The insulation layer with excellent fire resistance is made of phenolic foam, which is compounded with other materials for building insulation. It can basically reach the national fire protection standard A, fundamentally eliminating the possibility of external insulation fire. The temperature range is -250 ℃~+150 ℃.
The thermal conductivity of phenolic foam is about 0.022 (more than twice that of polyphenylene), the fire rating is incombustible B1 (can withstand 150 ℃ high temperature), and the price is similar to that of polyurethane.
Both polystyrene foam and polyurethane foam are flammable and not resistant to high temperature, so their use is restricted by the fire department. For places with strict fire protection requirements, it has been explicitly stipulated that only phenolic foam and its sandwich board can be used.
Phenolic foam insulation board can effectively solve the problem of building fire protection and thermal insulation. Phenolic foam insulation board can not only be used in the traditional external wall thermal insulation system, but also can be combined with the finishing layer to make an integrated thermal insulation and decoration board. It can also be used to build the traditional EPS/XPS/PU external wall thermal insulation system fire separation belt, used as fire insulation materials in curtain walls, fire doors, and fire insulation materials in low or high temperature occasions.
