The primary performance of cold storage insulation board as a cold storage insulation material is its insulation performance. At the same time, as a food cold storage insulation material, it should also have characteristics such as corrosion resistance, sealing, moisture resistance, cold resistance, and robustness. 1、 Thermal insulation performance of cold storage insulation materials:
The first requirement for phenolic insulation materials used in cold storage is insulation performance, and the quality of insulation performance cannot be observed with the naked eye before it is truly put into use. It is too late to observe the difference in power consumption. Through extensive experimental testing and strict control in material selection, we aim to achieve this goal:
1. Using structural amine ether to reduce thermal conductivity and improve insulation effect;
2. Accurately proportioning various raw materials and formulas to avoid deterioration of insulation performance during the foaming process;
3. Main material: phenolic products with strict post-treatment, compared with phenolic products without post-treatment in small factories, closed cell foam structure has significantly better thermal insulation performance than ordinary foam with thick walls and large pores; Obviously, the power consumption of the cold storage is low.

2、 Dimensional stability of phenolic insulation foam:
The phenolic foam material in the cold storage will not change in size when the temperature changes violently or stays at a low temperature for a long time. The change in size is often reflected in the cracking or shedding of foam, which will inevitably affect the normal use of the cold storage. The phenolic foam material will not appear this phenomenon. In order to achieve the appearance of foam without deformation, some manufacturers added openable components to the foaming material, which reduced the closed cell rate of foam and achieved the effect of stabilizing the size, but this has sacrificed the thermal insulation performance of foam, a cold storage insulation material.
The static water absorption of phenolic foam at room temperature is very low. The advantages of rigid phenolic foam plastics are: low thermal conductivity, low water absorption, light compression and high durability. Phenolic sandwich panels have higher light weight, faster installation, and shorter construction cycle compared to polyurethane spraying. There is no need for a protective layer, and the appearance of phenolic sandwich panels is also higher.
