Advantages of Phenolic Board as a Thermal Insulation Material for Building External Walls

Thermal Insulation Material for Building External Walls
Phenolic foam board, also known as PF board, is a closed cell thermosetting rigid foam board made by mixing phenolic resin, foaming agent, curing agent and other modifying agents and then foaming extrusion. Its most prominent features are non combustible, low smoke, and resistance to high-temperature decomposition. It overcomes the shortcomings of the original foamed plastic insulation material, such as flammability, smoke and deformation in case of heat, and retains the characteristics of the original foamed plastic insulation material, such as light weight and convenient construction.
Phenolic board has the characteristics of light bulk density, good insulation, large rigidity, and good dimensional stability. It also has an expansion coefficient similar to aluminum and belongs to the category of flame-retardant substances. It has low smoke emission, does not melt, does not drip, does not diffuse flames, and is resistant to flame penetration. And it has good insulation and energy-saving effects, combining excellent fire resistance with efficient energy-saving effects, suitable for external wall insulation and other fields. This material is a thermosetting material with good fire resistance, carbonization when exposed to fire, no dense smoke, and no melting or shrinking. It belongs to Class B1 material, and has good insulation and thermal insulation performance. The thermal conductivity is ≤ 0.022W/(m · K), effective temperature control is 3-8 ℃, and the reuse rate can reach 60% -80%.
